What about the rear plastic?

Hi !

here's what I found in the Gallery section of the German site (first picture).
looking carefully u can see that the plastic bit looks like the one in the 08 model.... but: shouldn't it look as pic nr 2 (posted by Pottsy in the photo thread) ???
the first pic is definitely of a 5dr '09 version: wheels, exhausts and colour seem to confirm it.

any clue about this?

Interesting...

Those are 09 wheels, I think.

Probably an 08 car dressed up as an 09 and they hoped no-one would notice.

It could be "printed" before all changes were final, couldn't it?

Are you sure the picture is of a 5 door?
The exhaust does look like a 5 door exhaust to me.

Other pics of the 5 door on honda.de look correct.

I don't know whether it's an optical illusion but the door mirrors don't seem to stick out as much - almost no wider than the wheel arches.

I wonder whether they changed the rear plastic because when you wash the car the diamonds are little buckets?

The reversing clear plastic is wider and the high level brake light looks wider?

No - it is just a styling thing I would say.

The S & R still have the diamonds.

Probably one of the many things being done to differentiate the 5 doors and S.

Yes, all the others in the gallery section are correct, the one I posted actually comes from the Wallpaper section.
It is the exact same picture referring to the 08 model that you find in other sites.
I think I now understand what they've done: they "photoshopped" it adding wheels and changing the colour... (same angle, same pic!)
but why?

It does look like they have been a bit cheap with the photos. The finish looks similar to the old one, until you get up close:

Not the older models, they used grey plastic and left it untouched.

So on yours that could be classed as colour coded as it matches the rest
