09 Civic STD Headunit and Cleansweep or Audiocontrol LC6

Hi,

I would just like to clarify if the standard CD/MP3 player in Civic 09 has a built in EQ or not. No DVD SAT Nav system and no upgraded sound package. Just plain setup.

Why I am trying to figure this out ?

Because the

Cleansweep is only required if the output of the stereo has equalisation built into it, which may vary with volume.

Where as the Audiocontrol is a good quality interface with a EQ and summing built in and perfect for installation with stock HU.

JL Audio CleanSweep is line out converter with signal processor built in.

OEM Integration - JL Audio

So you can keep stock HU and then use amps, speakers and sub.

But, it is very expensive and only really need it if HU had some form of EQ built in.

So for examlpe if you turn up the volume on the HU and then the speaker start to play different ranges of sound.

Eco display
Send a message via Skype™ to Syx
It has the standard options for Bass +/- and Treble +/- which means there must be some rudimentary EQ in place, although these could just be set to 0 to neutralise it.
