(not) good vibrations

Well. my CTR spent another week down the dealer: another week for them to try and solve the cracking dash area, which they claim they can never replicate (it's as clear as day once the car's up to temperature).

Anyway, they haven't sorted it (4th time of asking) yet I now appear to have a vibration in the steering wheel once I'm above 30mph.

Anyone know what this is about? Apparently the bolts around the windscreen frame were "re-torsioned" this time.

This Civic is turning to be just as poorly built as my last one...

Sounds like the problem is the Dealer, not the Car ...

A colleague of mine here (lives in the UK, but commutes to Norway) bought a new CTR a couple of months ago ...

He and his family were almost deafened by the rattles and bangs and cracks from the dashboard \ windscreen area, the very first time he drove it ! ...

He just did the Victor Meldrew thing, and "he took it back again" - several times - but, his Dealer immediately agrred that it wasn't acceptable and promised that they would cure it, "come what may", and they did - cumulating in removing and refitting \ rebonding the windscreen itself ! ...

Now ? - total silence - apart from the i-VTECH "howl" that is - and he's as pleased as the proverbial 'dog with two wosnames' ...

Just had my rattlles and vibrations fixed, the rattle/vibration from the airbag/steering wheel was sorted on the first visit to the dealer, and the other noises sorted on the second visit. It all seems to depend on your dealer, but it is possible to have a quiet Civic !
