Antenna elements???

Ok... this may seem like a really newbie question... but... the top few elements in my heated rear windscreen don't de-ice, question is, are they broken or are they actually just seperate radio antenna elements???

Please help guys before I go ahead and book it in for the radio antenna's to defrost my windscreen ha!

AFAIK it's just antenna separate elements.
Maybe take a look in the Wiki ?

Yes as Cedric states and as you suspect, the top few elements, that appear to be part of the heated rear window, are the aerial.

By the way I was wondering if someone had tested a "true" aerial to solve the poor reception of the radio ?

If you mean another aerial, I fitted a Blaupunkt windscreen one that came with the Bremen MP78 (from Autofun) and the Civic one is better. Together the are even better, haha.

I was just about to put some pics up showing only half of my back window that had been de-frosted, but seems i'm not the only one that had noticed this lol
