Rev Lights

Hi all,

I have been reading this forum for the last few weeks and finally bought by gorgeous 1.8 S Type GT last week and received it on Friday. I have done a search and can't find anythng on my problem below and wonder if anyone here can help before I ask the dealer.

One small niggle is the rev light indicator dots next to the speedo dont seem to work. I know it is turned on but I do not get any lights when driving or driving through the rev range. Could someone please tell me when the lights should 'light' up, or whether it only turns on once you hit the 'red'? I assume there should be a few lights when cruising and more lights when rev'ing hard. or maybe i'm wrong.

I know its only a small thing, and I could just turn it off but I like to know everything is working.

Rev Lights not coming on - Civinfo Wiki

In the 1,8 you need to be at around 6000 rpm for the first lights to come on.

Or as some people would say, if you can't see the rev lights, you are not doing it right.

Eco display
I used to think mine were broke, you have to push the engine really hard to get them on, Have only seen mine come on a handful of times.

The rev lights are pretty pointless on a diesel as by the time you get them on your out of the peak power band anyway!
