replacement panels

Hi everyone

just wondering if anyone here has had to replace a front bumper on thier civic?

i have a milano red and had to get the front fixed after a sheep ran out in front of me (lamp chops was on the menu that eve!!)

anyhow car came back repaired and the front bumper is darker than the rest - repair centre say there nothing they can do about it as it comes pre painted by honda.

just wondering has anyone had same experience? and if so is there any way to try and blend it in via cleaning products??

thanks

Kev

dont accept it mate! tbh plastic painted out of the same gun as metal never quite looks the same but it usually takes someone with ocd (obsessive compulsive detailing) or a painter to notice so if youre not in these categorys compalin long and hard!

Yea the front bumper comes pre painted and its seams slightly darker than the body probably because your paint has faded slightly. Mines the same after the new front bumper. Think red shows it the worst though. Only option is to spray all the front end together to match

Or live with it

Garage
you could try mopping your bonnett and wings as red tends to fade hence the colour difference.

Polish the wings/ bonnet with Autoglym Super Resin Polish and see how that looks. Ideally a good polish with a dual action polisher or rotary would be best but that will cost to get done. Did the bodyshop polish the front wings and bonnet if not perhaps they would just to satisfy you that its the poor Honda paint quality to blame yet again.
