brake disc fault

clunking noise on each wheel rotation and when i brake.

dealer serviced it today and returned it still with the problem.

said the 'cleaning' or something or other of the disc was free but its a shame it didnt fix the problem and that they want to now 'skim' the disc and they wanna charge me 160 for it, even though its a fault with the car and i have the 5 year service plan.

thoughts? im livid and wanna drive it this weekend to see my friend quite far away and i dont feel content with dodgy brakes.

dealer: brayley honda st albans

The problem you described sounds like brake judder if they want to skim the discs, Thought this would be covered under warranty with your low mileage. Dont bother getting them skimmed just get new brake discs if your paying , Do you not feel confident fitting yourself ??

Yea me to I work for nissan and if we get this fault nissan will always pay for a skim but not new discs. But Honda must be different. TBO i think Honda are a bit tight with the warranty.

took it up with head office, all sorted thanks to a lovely lady!

she got nowhere with the dealer too and put in a complaint against them.

booked me in with my 2nd nearest dealer to replace the faulty discs, sorted

hats off to this norton way dealer in letchworth! sorting out all my problems! gave me a courtesy car today to get me back to work.

ordered a set of rear brake discs to fit in a weeks time, when they arrive he is going to drive the courtesy car to my workplace (45 mins drive) and drop it off, collect mine and go fix it, then bring it back when its done!

awesome customer service from them. oh and he's going to get the engineers to fit my hid's for me!

hats off to them.

well after about 4 visits and 3 courtesy cars. unfortunately the hid kit wasnt working when they fitted it and had to have it in to remove it again, so mr jp sorted me with some lovely bulbs for them to put in!

but for all my various troubles i had a time wasted theyre ordering me some honda parking sensors and fitting them too! sweet!
