Another Aircon Thread!!

Hi All,

Had my air con re-gassed last week when the weather was not so hot and it all worked fine, however during the bank holiday weekend my air con was blowing warm air which was pretty horrendous especially driving on the motorway and then being stuck in bank holiday traffic!

Then, last night I was driving home about 11pm when the temperature was cooler and the air con worked fine!!

When I had my air con re-gas they check for leaks and said there wasn't any, have read a few threads, so am now thinking to change the air con relay and was just wondering if anyone has used one of the cheapo ebay ones for 7quid (link below) and if so, did it work??

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Air-Con-R....c100005.m1851

Can't handle another roasting day, especially with leather interior!! Car is a 2006 1.8 se.

Thanks

Sounds like my 2006 Civic, I had a regas and no apparent leaks but the extra pressure of the new gas found a weak spot in the condenser, so the compressor only kicked in when the temperature dropped rather than in the heat of the day then eventually not at all as the low pressure switch stopped the system. Only solution was a new condenser and it works fine now.
