Type S rear squeak!

When i park on a flat and drive away in the morning or the car has been sitting a long time i get a huge sweeking from the rear suspention! it goes away by the end of the road! what is it? Honda cant find anything wrong!

I get this too, it's more of a creak fromt he rear suspension with mine.

I'm guessing it's just another civic quirk. I'm not too worried about it and as you say, it only happens from start off in the morning for a second or two. Handling is absoutely fine.

On the wiki it explains it's the rubber exhaust hanger, try squirting it with some silicone grease.

I have exactly the same problem with the rear, even after the cars been unused for a couple of hours. Honda UK do have a log of the problem, but have no solution. I got told it was a characteristic of the civic!
I'm looking into replacing the springs with the eibach pro kit, as this might be a solution to the so called characteristic of our cars.

i have it to every morning when i reverse off the drive i get a creaking sound and knocking sound it clears after 30 seconds of driving must be the suspension leveling out as you drive.
