Petrol flap tether

Hi all ,can anyone know how to connect the tether from the petrol cap to the small black thingy in the petrol flap as I hav a new cap and don't want to break it or can said black thingy be replaced when I break it ! Any advice would really help chears

It just push fits in the petrol filler flap, and according to the Honda parts schematic comes as part of the new petrol cap.

Thanks das ' but can't see where it fits into the block thingy in the flap as there are no remnants of the old one .

Your a star cosmicma. I can only assume I pry that apart and push my tether up there. Now I can see where its supposed to go. Thanks mate.

My tether is also broken, but I just slot the filler cap into the flap. It's designed to hold the cap when filling up.

Slide the threaded end of the filler cap into the holder in the flap.
