Spoiler lacquer is peeling..2k coat or acrylic?

Bought a Civic last week (2008 Type S GT) and noticed there is a lot of the coat which has peeled off near the spoiler.

I tried my hand with some touch up lacquer but made it worse and have sanded it down, now it looks terrible.

I have read a good fix is to use 2k clear coat however what's the best type to buy? Will acrylic not cut it?

I was thinking of buying either the HB Body 2k clear coat or the Simoniz Acrylic clear coat,

does it matter which i choose? I know 2k is technically better but given the context will i see a difference?

Common issue on all non type r models. Best option is to cover it with a Type R spoiler.
