Warning light

I have a warning light on. It's the 'oil level' icon but with an explanation mark after it.
I've checked my oil level and If anything, I have too much oil in.
The light only came on yesterday but I filled the oil up last week.
Any idea what the warning light means?

I have a 2007 Honda civic type s gt.

It means there is a problem with the oil level system (sensor) rather than the oil level itself.

Garage
If it's the oil level warning not the oil pressure warning and you are sure that the dipstick check is correct, then i would say yes but get it checked out ASAP.
