Thinking of buying civic sat nav

as title says im looking at buying standard civic sat nav as ive got one lined up for 300. is it just the head unit, dvd drive and screen that i need? and would i need to do any major wiring? im ok with connecting them all up but dont want to get into circuit boards.

Thanks in advance

Probably a wiring loom that needs replacing too but not sure - hopefully someone will be along with a definitive answer

It's not a simple or easy task, and there are a few bits you are missing, one example is the top plastic panel.

There was a thread on here somewhere, and it was achievable, but I believe the work was done by a Honda engineer.

If you are looking for a simpler option, get a double din. Installing the factory Sat Nav is certainly not a case of plug and play.

Thanks for that you've saved me an expensive mistake by the sounds of it... and a stressed weekend if it took a honda engineer to do it ha.

Gunna take your advice n get looking for a decent double din or even make do n get the remap done.
