Radio interference while diesel engine warms up

My '58 2.2 EX has developed a new fault. I get severe interference on the radio at the start of each journey. It seems to correspond to the period of engine warm up before the temperature gauge reaches its normal running position.

I have heard that the diesel engines have an electrical heater to provide warm water to to the interior heating system. If that is correct, could it be that causing the interference?

Or glowplugs? They do operate for an extended period that is much longer than the dash indication.

Just to bring this specific thread to a close, I have now proven, contrary to my original 'evidence', that this interference is, after all, being caused by the heated rear window.

Odd, though... bad connection, failing relay?

Bad ground.

There are a few circuits that run during engine warm up.
