No radio anymore, no A/C screen, no central lock…
I would like to share with you my problem. I’m French, so sorry if my English is not perfect...
I’m the owner of a Honda CIVIC 2.2 ctdi, 2008. Last week I tried to change the car radio unit. I removed the Honda one, connected the new one without fixing it to the dash, just to test that everything was working fine ==> everything was OK. Then I started to install it correctly to the dashboard and put back everything I had removed before. After that, I have lost the radio (no power, no display), the A/C display, the central locking, OBD plug receives no power… But fortunately the engine starts and I can drive “normally”.
I tried all this to solve the problem:
-put back the Honda car radio unit : no change
-check all fuses (with a multimeter), both those under the dash and under the hood : they are all OK
-unplug the battery for 15 min and replug it : no change
-check for the plugs behind the car radio unit to see if something is unplugged or if a wire is broken : I have not seen anything wrong
-check for voltage on the fuses in the fuse box : there are voltage on the most of fuses when ignition is on
-check the voltage on the plugs behind the car radio unit : there is no voltage, except for the warning switch (5V)
I spent some hours to check for information on the internet, but did not find what to solve the problem. Apparently all what is not working seems to be linked with the MICU in the fuse box. I would like to check all input and output voltage on it to try to locate the problem better, but I have no wiring diagram nor expected voltage description. Does somebody have those information ?
Or…simply, does somebody already had the same problem, or know what is the root cause ?
Thanks beforehand for anybody who could help me!
