Dash Dimmer switch

I have noticed that the dimmer switch for changing the brightness of the dash presses in? I only noticed it this morning and the manual is on my bedside table as nighttime reading and its bugging me so much I need to find out if this is normal and if it is, what does pressing it in do???

Thanks in advance!

Eco display
Normally you would have the switch pressed in to make it harder to nudge it accidentally and change the dash brightness.

Doesn't actually do anything (pressing it in), other than that.

The headlight adjuster switch (if you don't have HID's) also clicks in and out.

Great...thanks for the info!

Slightly dissapointed that it doesn't do anything funky though!

The only thing I've ever used this switch for is to brighten my Sat Nav screen so that I can read it when my lights are on. It dosn't seem to make much difference to the dash other than turn the dash lights off.

It's just to tidy it away when you are not using it!
