Blackberry Mounting install

Need some sort of mounting bracket for my Blackberry , so while in Halfords I picked up this ( was £9.99 ) for £1.99 and mounted it on the sliding lid. I can still open the slider as normal...............
ps.sorry the shots are alittle out of focus

Bracket matches the other aluminium trim

The actual bracket is fixed with 3M tape and de mountable. so you can remove the the holder and you are left with a fixed bracket

It seems quite good, usually that's the place where I put my but without being fixed.
I've got to get something like that

Can't you keep it in your pocket and use Bluetooth? That's what I do. I'm not saying it isn't a good idea, just wondering why you need to mount the phone where it's visible.
