Headlights out of synch

The headlights on my Type-S GT have gone out of synch.

They should fold up upon locking the car and down open unlocking, instead they are moving on the starting and stopping of the ignition key.

Anyone had a similar issue and managed to sort it?

I'm not even sure how you confuse the two lol

So have you got the mirror mod installed to allow folding upon locking?

Was obviously having a special moment

The wing mirrors used to fold up upon locking and down upon unlocking now they go up and down on the key being turned , upon pressing the ignition button they start to go back up before settling down where they should be

Possibly the diode blown ?

When the mirror mod was done (I did mine recently) I seem to recall you fit the diode if you want the mirrors to operate when locking & unlocking the car.

If you want them to operate when turning the ignition on and off, you omit the diode.

Here you go, knew I wasn't dreaming !

Alternative Installation ;

If you wish the Ignition to control the folding of your Mirrors and not the Central Locking then DO NOT Install the Diode.....this is what happens

IGNITION ON....Mirrors Unfold
IGNITION OFF....Mirrors Fold

Great answer. Sounds like the culprit or simply a cable has disconnected which is an easy fix.
