shortest route

Has anybody found some VERY strange shortest routes. Yesterday had to back off a "shortest route" that even a 4x4 struggled with.

Went to little country restaurant the other day and I thought I knew how to get there.

Sat Nav said 'turn left' I knew that was wrong.

I went straight on......

Sat says 'U' turn if poss.

That is so wrong......

Cut this story short..... I didn't find the Restaurant.

Reverted to 'Millie' found it in minutes.

Without that Sat Nav., I'd be probably eating in McDonalds!!!

"Careful about that light at the end of the tunnel, it might be another car coming!"

You might notice the tunnel/ferry en route.

Mine insists my house is accessed via a 3 ft footpath which is great...

I often select the shortest route option and find that the route taken is awfully similar to the fastest route...

And why doesn't the avoid toll road option work in France where they have them!
