Econometre conversion from litres/100km to mpg

Does anyone know how to switch from lt/100km to mpg? I've got a LHD civic. Checked the menu and cant seem to find where to do this. Any help would be much appreciated.

You can´t.

The UK cars can change from MPH to KM/H.
Not sure if the fuel computer changes also though.

You can use this, however:

You can simply use the google calculator and enter the query directly into google. E.g. like this.

Try entering "6.9 l/100 km in miles per liter" into google. It doesn't recognize "mpl", but "miles per liter" works.

The trip computer also changes on the UK cars, to show l/100km instead of mpg.

Hi UnreaL - thanks for that but ... this gives me a KM per liter to MPG I need to know a Miles per liter to Miles per Gallon.

My trip in my car says I've done 595 miles and I fill up with 47.85 liters - what is the MPG?

I know how to work it out long hand and the answer is 55.33 MPG, what I want to know is there a tool for this?

You can always google for this: "47.85 liters / 595 miles in miles per uk gallon" and you'll get approximately what you said (it comes out as 56.5 MPG though).

Note though that apparently the US MPG and UK MPG aren't the same (I'm from a metric country so this is news to me) so that's why you need to add "uk" to the query.

As far as online tools go, you can try this one: Unit Conversions

Do you have the two buttons on your steering wheel? one I think is the letter "i" and the other is sel/res? Somthing like that? If you do you can hold the i, when stationary, then you can select all settings for your display!

Heh, no problem, it also solved my problem of trying to figure out how come all you guys had such high MPG values. I kept converting my l/100km into US MPG and I'd get significantly lower numbers that in UK MPG. I just improved my fuel economy from 34 MPG to 40 MPG

You were better off the other way, because US fuel is half the price.

Divide 282.4809363 by the l/100km value you see in the display.
So for example 6l/100km gives: 47.08015606 mpg

That'll give you some arithmetics to do during a boring drive
