iPhone 3G & HFT

Hi, is it true that my new 3G didn't work with the HFT? i'am wondering because the first generation iphone works well. But with the OS2.0 both iPhones can use the HFT.

i'm right?

The HFT with SatNav?

Smile iPhone 2g & 3G and HFT

Hi,

Yes the HFT with sat nav. I think this is the only way you can have HFT but am not a civic guru.

The user manual should be able to help with pairing your iPhone to the HFT system. Unfortunately it is done using the HFT voice button nearest you and you have to set it up all by voice so I would park somewhere where you cannot be seen LOL. You set up a four digit pairing code then use this code on your phone when your phone prompts you.

My dealer set my phone up and it only took the guy about 2 minutes. I would have been longer, reading the manual, shouting at the HFT microphone....

There are many posts on this subject from this totally amazing site and the civic brainaics/ gurus....

http://www.civinfo.com/forum/electro...95-iphone.html

http://www.civinfo.com/forum/electro...-my-phone.html

etc

One tip, you might want to set the phone up without the engine running and windows shut on a totally still day, no wind, rain or other noise inducing situations...

Hope that helps.
Loz

Managed to succesfully pair up my 3g tonight - to be honest the phone itself is vastly over-rated and coming from an E61 I am now going to wait until O2 get E71s in stock and switch over - that's a side issue though, pairing was a piece of cake having followed the pairing instructions to the letter of the law (unlike guessing how to do it as I did at the weekend )
