Radio dead

Basically, the radio in my Type R has completely died. I get no screen displaying the radio channel, or temperature or anything. The CD doesnt work either. Absolutely dead. All i get is crackling and fuzzy noise. Would this be a problem with the radio itself, and be fixed with a direct replacement. Or, something to do with the wiring...
