Hard Wire iPhone

Just installed a double din and brodit iPhone 5 holder but don't want a visible cable showing from the cig lighter.

Has anyone been able to hard wire an iPhone cable successfully.

You can tap into the option connector, fit a standard accessory socket and use this, or via connection in the armrest, quite a few "how to's" on here on how to get power into the armrest to power a phone, ipad etc
