relay chattering.

Morning All,
have a small problem with my partners 2003 Ep3 2.0 type S , car runs and starts fine everything works too , but when ignition is turned on there is a clicking from the front nearside under the bonnet, it started a while ago now , it stops after a while but still chatters after the engine has fired up. Have listened for the noise with the bonnet up , thought it might come from the fuse and relay box but think that maybe it's from under the front wing area , so before I look and further thought I would post this to see if anyone has had a similar experience ,it also has air con which doesn't work.

Thanks
