fans

hi
my cooling fan only comes on when air con is switched on then both fans
kick in

changed both temp sensors and thermostat
any ideas

My cooling fans come on very rarely, and my enigne is doing fine, so I assume it could be normal for you too.

Is your engine temp gauge showing normal values when warmed up? Slightly below half way?
If yes, then you shouldn't worry too much IMO.

Same thing happens to me mate, I think it happens to alot of civics.

Same here, fans only turn on when I ask them too with the aircon, or if I've been sitting in traffic for about an hour. Seems normal.

mine does not come on in traffic until i press air con on

If it overheats, then the ECU somehow doesnt send the radiator switch on signal, even when the engine temp sensor tells to do so, strange...

I would defo go to a Honda garage to have it checked, this symptom is not normal.

Over heating isn't good.

You say you changed the radiator temperature sensor, did the plug look okay? Some have needed to also change the plug.
