Question Double Din connects2 scrambled display

I hope somebody can help me I have a 57 plate fn2, I upgraded my headunit with a pioneer double din I bought the full install kit (ctkhd01) which all works fine along with the steering wheel control.

the issue have Is the ac and clock display looks as though it is sending to much data to the small display screen so I cant make any sense of it this only happens when I connect the green part of the kit if I disconnect the green part the displays are blank and all other functions work, all I want displayed is the ac data on the small screen.

I have read loads of posts and it sounds like its something to do with the fact I had a satnav with the oem headunit which I no longer need.

any advice on a fix would be a great help

Think the only option is to look for a display out of a non sat nav car and put it in yours. My understanding is that it should be a straight swap, although I think I remember reading that you may need the plastic trim panel that sits in front too.
