wing mirror problems

Wondering if any one can shed light on a problem we are having with the folding mirrors

Press button to fold . Both driver and passenger nove about half an inch then stop .
Give then a push untill half way and they fold in all the way . Fold them back out is fine except passenger which stops and have to push the rest of the way by hand

Does this sound like i need to repair with

2 x RXE radial 0.3a 72v TE connectivity RXEF030

Or another issue ?

Its as though there isnt enough power yet everything else is fine

Maybe a reset for the passenger side ? ( how is this sone ? )

Is there a way to get these to fold / unflod when locking or unlicking the car ?
Thanks

Davel

Sounds like you need to get the SOD units repaired I am going to send one of mine away too as got a different issue but may be sorted by this , I think the member who does this is called Styx?

PS also in Maidstone if you need to try anything and got some good parts contacts !

Found the sod repair and going to order from rs components etc

Think i read somewhere some one had similar issue where they folded all the way with a small amount of pressure along the way upuntill half way then all good. Passenger similar but seems like it needs reset some how . Is this linked to window reset ?

Get mirrors sorted and thinking of a wrap of sorts when i get time at work

Handy having some one local

Sorry to hijack the thread but would this sod repair possibly fix if neither mirrors move at all?

I had one half folder and one not moving at all, did the SOD fix myself and bought the auto folding module from mrBozo. Now it's all good

Can confirm this is an easy repair . Done today . Didnt take much time atall . Less the a couple of from rs components

RXEF030 | TE Connectivity 0.3A Radial Leaded PCB Mount Resettable Fuse, 72 V | TE Connectivity

Have some trim removal tools for when wrapping etc and mirror caps came off easily with no breaking of clips

All thanks to the info on the forum

Done this myself. Hardest part is digging out the sealant on the SOD oh and sourcing the fuses lol
