Is that your 'off road' parking. I had loads of them and when I zoomed in I realised it was all the different places I'd parked in Tesco's etc. Thought I'd lost some pixels at first.

I've collected a few on roads that don't exsist;like the A1/M in places
Loads pop up in car parks etc not covered by the map, but I think you have to be 'running' for a few miles or mins before it registers a crumb.

You can switch off this feature in 'settings'.

RichRob - when you drive 'off-road' with the feature turned on, the Civ 'drops breadcrumbs' as it goes along so that you can find your way back out

Well - virtual breadcrumbs, and only on the SatNav screen - but at least they don't get blown away or eaten by birds

Leaving a breadcrumb trail is an old navigational technique, apparently.

Handheld GPSRs leave breadcrumb trails to show you where you have walked. Many let you 'backtrack' to guide you back on your trail, or you can save the track to use it again for a walk or something.

Good idea, hadn't noticed it before. Pity Hansel and Gretel didn't have one!

That's one up against the Tom Tom I'll bet!

"Most packages say 'Open Here'. What's the protocol if it says 'Open Somewhere Else'?"
