Aux and ipod power

Hi, i've just picked up my new 10 plate Civic Type S GT (first ever) and I am very impressed by the lot including the ipod set up through the radio.

I am a bit curious though if I need to unplug the aux lead when I turn the car off. Does anyone know if this uses power from the vehicle or if it is isolated when the engine is off?

May be a daft question but i'm not very technical.

Any help much appreciated.

The 3.5mm won't charge at all, the USB might (although I doubt it).

Does the charge symbol on your mp3 player stay on?

Good thought, no the charge symbol goes off so I guess as you are suggesting, there is no power.

Sometimes it's hard to see the woods for the trees!

Cheers

Yeh mate it definitly doesn't because after you switch off the engine, it deactivates the iPod accessory sign and the charge sign I would suggest you take your iPod out of the car when you leave it though just incase
