Angry Shocks

Hi
Lately me and my wife have been getting shocks when we get out of our car. We had a 2.2 diesel and we get a right kick of the door handle or door frame.I dont no if its static but we get it even if the car only moves 20ft or so
Can any one help with any ideas or is there a problem with my car
Regards Mark

Mmmmmmm - time to stop wearing Silk Thongs ? ...

Seriously - that static is on YOU - not the car - so avoid certain man-made fibers (and Silk !) ...

Some years ago, I had a Renault 21 that routinely "charged me up" - the spark could jump 4" or so, from my elbow, to the corner of my house wall (skewed parking place) - you could see the "bolt" even in broad daylight ! - my kids (and the neighbours) thought it hilarious, every time I screamed !!! ...

Just touch the metal on the car before you get out to ground yourself
