central locking/alarm

When locking the civic(07) using the remote, i always thought that the 1st time you press the lock button locks the door and the 2nd time it sets the alarm, but my mate said that if you press the button twice it turns off the alarm, is that right.

I believe that when you press the button the 2nd time you are activating the Hona super locks. Basically deadlocks.

First press locks the doors and activates the alarm, second press sets the dead locks - which means if someone brakes the glass to get in they still can't open the door from the inside.

I believe the second press has to be within 2 seconds of the first press in order to activate the dead locks
