Oh right, its just that i was selling the said phone to a guy and the whole reason was to work with the Honda Car Kit, from memory we manged to pair it but everytime we tried to make a call it transferred the audio to the phone again.

Just thought it may be some usefull info in your circumstance, maybe honda have tweaked the HFT

Here you go Mark,

Move 4 way navi pad right, Press the * (star key) once, Move 4 way navi pad left twice, Press *, Move 4 way navi pad left, press *,
This will take you to the "Service" menu. Select "Service info"
NB The phone will go through what ever menu's and shortcuts are associated with joystick movements but just ignore them and carry on!

This should do the trick.

Hi Chorley,
Being an Orange guy I was wondering if you could maybe advise me on a problem I have in not being able to transfer the sound from my SE K750i to my car HFT. Incoming calls work fine but I've ran out of ideas in transferring the sound for outgoing call. One guy suggested that I should change my firmware from R1CA021 TO R1DB001 but I'm not sure if it will invalidate my warranty or work with my PAYG Orange SIM. Can you advise.

I had the same problem with my Orange K750i.

It worked fine when I first had the car/phone combi and then I used SEUS to update my 'phone as recommended via the SE website. Worked a treat and then I noticed that outgoing calls always transferred the sound to the phone Bizarrely, incoming calls worked fine (or was it the other way around ?)

There is a bug in the RICA021 bluetooth drivers which cause this. The problem is that SEUS will only update Orange branded K750i to RICA021

After some careful investiagtion I discovered that I could quite happily update to RIDB001, using the DaVinci program. It's a free download, but it cost ~7 to actually do the update. Just follow the instructions carefully.

A word of warning though, I managed to totally de-brand my phone and lost all my settings (and phone book, which I had saved elsewhere). I think that I didn't need to do that, I just ticked one box too many.

Anyway, the good news is that the phone (which now looks like a standard SE K750i) is now working fine with the HFT

I cannot comment on the warrenty question though, but then my phone is over a year old now anyway.

HTH

Hey Copter,

I wouldn't have thought it will invalidate your warranty, as that is with the Manufacturer and your only using SE software, might be work giving SE a ring to ask about the ins and outs.

Cheers
