Following on from the farce that was

http://www.civinfo.com/forum/electro...one-these.html

I have just purchased one of these

Cigarette Lighter Car Charger With USB Port Socket UK on eBay (end time 19-Mar-10 23:37:35 GMT)

And can confirm it fits perfectly in the Civic and hardly sticks up at all (pic attached).

The only downside as far as some may be concerned is the green light.

I've seen them :-

1} Downside : as you said, the light is Green

2} Downside : the power output is very low

I did have an 'HTC' charger (permanent miniUSB cable) - it did 'stick out' but had a nice Blue HTC logo on top ...

I just changed my mobile for a different HTC, that takes a microUSB connector, so I bought a (smaller) "cable-free" HTC charger and a USB to microUSB cable - guess what ? - this charger has the bloody Belkin problem ! - it barely makes contact, and it's enough to look at it and suddenly contact is lost ...

Would be easy to fix the light with a bit of black glass paint...
