Firmware hacking: Make roads 'thicker'

Hi all,

Anyone good at hacking firmware? I see the quality of the display (road in particular) is much more aesthetically pleasing in other models; the roads look more like roads and are thicker, motorways are blue etc. Anyone know how to fudge this on the current civic hardware?
