Key transponder questions

So, i started studying flip key conversion and i had some questions.
1) What is the exact type of the transponder inside key? Can anybody buy it and program it on a Honda dealer?
2) Why is it stuck on the PCB? Is it an active device anyway? Does it use battery power? If yes, then if it accidentally falls into water, then it is possible for all the electronics inside the key to fail, including the transponder, so the car will not start. The same would happen if the internal key battery is low on voltage. Right?
3) Can any civic 06 key be reprogrammed so that it works with any other model (assuming somebody changes the blade)?
4) What is happening if both Civic keys fail? Can the dealer program a new key without having an old one that is working?

Sorry for so many questions but i think there are many others interesting on them.

Do you really think anyone will divulge that information ?

In reply to the questions:
1) No idea!
2) The transponder is soldered to the PCB, and also has some form of coating which is usually added to larger components to give them some support so they do not rip the tracks off the PCB when you drop the key. The transponder needs power. The case has a rubber seal, as do the switches, so if it is dropped in water very briefly it should not affect the operation. I doubt it would be much good if you used a pressure washer on it though! I think that as the battery voltage reduces the operation range will reduce, and the little red light will not flash very brightly.
3) as 1
4) as 1.

I have done the transponder soldering for a few people on here.
Hope that helps,
Terry

Well the housing soldered on the PCB isn't the transponder. It is the LF-antenna because the transponder functionality is located inside the controller.

have a nice day..
