Key Alarm.

Hi,
I cant find any concrete info on this so i was hoping someone could help.

Prior to taking my car to the garage to fix the slipped clutch problem , when i opened the door with the key in, it'd beep like mad till i removed the key.

For some reason, it doesnt do it anymore.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance all.

Eco display
Very unlikely that the dealer would have touched this doing the clutch. There is a switch in the ignition barrell so the car knows when the key is still in and activates that beeper. Either its broken or been disconnected by somebody.

Can it be switched off/on by any chance?
When i mentioned it to the garage, they said that theyve never seen a Civic do that type of alarm thing...? lol.

Could be the door switch is faulty - do the interior lights illuminate when the drivers door is open?

So its looking likely that this switch inside the barrel is broken? .
