getting a device that will let me play my Ipod.

So, whats the best option?

Alright mate,

The Wiki and search are your friends...

http://www.civinfo.com/wiki/index.php?title=Connecting_an_MP3_player

There are a few options out there... I would stay away from the honda one as you have to do set playlists and can only control your ipod via the steering wheel (rather than the steering wheel AND the ipod)

Hope this helps mate

Cheers

Robbie

Thanks mate. So it seems that Gateway one is the best.

If i ordered this, does it come with everything I need?

Yeeppp - it's a complete kit - cables \ connectors \ etc. ...

Note that the '100' is "iThing" only, whereas the '300' accepts multiple input formats ...

Yep, max £150, less if you shop around - I'm having my '300' installed next Monday ! ...

Nothing shows track names mate

BTW the DICE unit is much cheaper and accepts a jack connection too (as said above). DICE = DENSION 300 (does exactly the same)

Yeeppp - 'iThing' and any 8th. Gen Civic ...

I chose the Dension 300, as it has 'iThing' and phono-jack and USB inlets ...

p.s. - with the 'EX' you'll also need a "Y-cable" (try Gordons Honda) ...

I could have had a splitter \ y-cable from Dension (accessory), but decided in the end to get the OEM part ...

I'm having the dealer fit mine (on Tuesday) and I wanted to give them no excuses about 'incompatibility' ...

The later ones come with the Y cable. The earlier dice units dont (so if anyone is buying, just double check)
