Parking Sensor disapeared

Hi guys

Please can someone try to shed some light on the following,

When I reveresed my 07 Plate Civic today the parking/reversing sensors just produced a long uninterupted beep (6 or 7 seconds) then went silent, I tried selecting reverse several times and the same happened, finally got out of the car to check and to my suprise the far right sensor had vanished, the round bracket was still in place but the small round sensor section is nowhere to be seen.

Please, does this sound like its been pulled off, or hopefully pushed through into the bumper? If it had been pushed off is it possible to just buy one sensor as a replacement to the whole kit? and if its been pushed through can i retrieve it in anyway?

I cant believe my luck only had the car a month and I love it, Please help.

Thanks in advance for the help guys!!!

James

Dont panic..I had the same thing happen on mine.
Its going off permanent because the sensor is in the bumper and thinks you are about to hit something.

If you are lucky, you can just get the inner wheel arch off the back wheel and might be able to reach up and find it to push back in until it clicks.

If you cant feel for it you'll have to get the bumper off

Nah mate, its easy to get the wheel arch trim off, and the bumper if necessary, just a series of clips need pulling out. And for the bumper a load or those black little "pull up" clip thingys lol. Good luck!!
