Mirror over extending 59 plate

Hi,
I have used the search function and can only see one post on this.

My wife's 59 plate ctr has an issue with the passenger mirror over extending when they fold out. At first we thought it had been hit but that wasn't the case.
When the ignition is turned on it folds out but goes to the furthest point (quite far past the normal stopping point).

Can they be reset or is it a strip down job?

Id swap the SOD module from one side to the other and see if its just a faulty SOD.

Cool. I bought one of them just in case (arrived yesterday) so will see if that cures it and report back. The mirrors still fold it's just that one doesn't stop..

when it fold all the way out can you put it back into normal position by hand then see what happens, if it still does after that then I'm afraid the aluminium post stop point as sheared off ,will have been caused by someone bashing into it....

Yeh it can be moved by hand to the correct place. The entire mirror seems loose when in that position as well so will ft another mirror next week.
