Petrol Gauge Full

Hello,

5 years using my car and didn't had any issue till today - did quite long journey 400 miles and my petrol gauge still showing that it's full. Which can't be right.

Based on some other posts i did disconnected battery from car for half an hour thinking that it might be some electronic issues however after connecting back problem didn't go.

My wife have civic as well than I did swap the cluster expecting some issues with the electronics in cluster but I had this same problem.

Any ideas what else this could be ? Should i check the floater or this might be some kind of shortage on cables?
