Honda Reverse Sensors gone bonkers.

I was reversing on the weekend and all of a sudden the beeper started making a low continuos beeping noise.

I change out of reverse and back into it and it seemed to work fine for a while.

But now whenever i choose the reverse gear i get this annoying continous beep. I have cleaned the sensors and they dont seem to be damaged in anyway. Sometimes when I'm reversing the normal beeping works fine for about 5 seconds then the continous low beep noise appears again.

any advice?

i've already taken rear bumper off to check any connection issues, but everything looks ok.

1. loose sensor not clicked in properly.
2. Loose wire.
3. Bad sensor.
4. Debris covering sensor.

Thats my best guesses

1. all clicked in properly
2. check all wire near bumper area- havent checked reverse control unit yet.
3. bad sensor - i'm thinking this is what is causing it.
4. all clean outside and in.

Will it still work by pull out one sensor...not sure if they are series or parallel wired.
If it will....try pullin one sensor at a time and see if the problem goes ?

Ok I was planning to reset the reverse sensor module this weekend.

Last thursday the sensors seemed to have sorted themselves out! all working fine now and no more deep beeping.

I had a similar problem, only my sensors where aftermarket ones, it ended up being the reversing sensor on the gearbox. Check and see if your reversing lights are coming on when you select reverse, if no lights then its more than likely the gearbox sensor.. Mine was intermittent for the first couple of weeks then it just stopped working.
