I bought two of these ELM327 Bluetooth interfaces from this supplier to keep one in the glovebox of each of my cars... https://www.gearbest.com/car-gadgets...ml?wid=1433363

A mobile device with a suitable app is then required, for simply reading and clearing engine/powertrain diagnostic trouble codes then for an Android device I recommend the free 'Torque Lite' app which works very well on every car I've used it on.

But bear in mind only engine/powertrain, not ABS etc.

I had one of the Blue ELM327 Clones; It was fine for scanning codes but seemed to have a very poor refresh rate. I've got one of these Xtrons now, and in addition to the on / off button, it has a far more usable refresh rate if you're interested in real time monitoring.
