Front fog on stalk

I have a MK VIII 1.8 2007 model. It has the front fog lights switch on stalk. But when I looked at the car it doesn't have the physical lights in place. Just capped off. Is it possible my wiring is already there for this to be installed. Cheers in advance

When you turn the stalk does the tell tale on the dash light up? Only other way to find out is to have look behind the bumper and see if the wiring is there.

Is there a possibility that you are confusing front fogs with the high intensity rear fog light?
