Rev counter/Speedo Light Issue/Fault - Any 1else had it?

Hi,

Yesterday my speedo/rev counter seemed to dim during the day for reason, leaving it bearly legible in direct sunlight, yet perfectly visible when in an underground car park, i have since noticed that they no longer dim when the auto lights come on leading me to believe that a sensor(??) has gone kaput or the lights themselves are knackered?

Any one had this or got any ideas on how to resolve this?

Cheers
James

Try adjusting the brightness of the instruments using the small knob on the bottom left of your rev display. It has 2 settings, one for when the lights are off an one for when lights are on. Adjust it to the setting you like when your lights are off an then turn your lights on and do the same. I find that full brightness is way too bright for night time so have it turned a few notches down for when my lights are on. Full brightness at all other times though!

Eco display
My Type R and the wife's EX have a dimmer adjustment on the dishboard where you can set the brightness.

The centre display in the middle of the rev counter displays what you have it set to when you adjust it.

It remembers the settings for lights on and lights off, so if you have them both on the same setting, then lights off or on won't make any difference.

I have mine set slightly dimmer for lights on so they aren't as dazzling.
