Parot Handsfree Kit/Installation

Noticed the Parrot 3000 Evolution kit for sale at £59 on caraudiosecurity, and the reicews are favourable.

Since mine is gonna be the basic SE spec with no add-ons I was wondering if anyone has fitted one of these and if so have they any pics of the install or advice on fitting.

I'm seriously tempted with that as well. Although to be honest, I dont drive enough to warrant spending that sort of cash.

Ordered the cable from SIO communications but noticed that the 3200 "plus" is coming out soon so held out.

Parrot kits are great though, go for it if you need to use your phone.

If Halfords can fit it how hard can it be.

I may regret saying that.

  • 1 Screen-to-Mutebox cable
  • 1 ISO cable
  • 1 Fitting accessories bag
  • 1 Installation userís guide
So, "Colour TFT screen with buttons and 2 micros"
connects to "Parrot Universal Mute Box" and this one connects to your radio (or Head Unit) using a "ISO cable". There's no "real" ISO connectors on the HU of your Civic meaning that you need a SOT-908 to "translate" Honda's connectors on the radio to Parrots ISO.

Guess?

Yes Infinity's are on order. Cheap and high quality (I have them in my MGB Roadster too).

I'm gonna have all this gear and no car. Hee-Hee!

So much for a Playstation 3. I've just spent the better part of £200 tonight.

Lol! I'm toying with the idea of getting the Alpine sub in, although Halfrauds will have to fit that as well. Wish I knew about cars and electronics, could save a small fortune!

Looks like the missus wil have to go without for her 30th birthday this year if I keep thinking of all these things to spend cash on!

Yes, I used the 'How to get into the dash' for it.
When you're a little bit 'handy', the job is done in about 2 hours.
I didn't take the radiounit out. I have thin fingers to switch the connectors behind the headunit.
I didn't make any pictures of the how to... it's quiet easy.

I don't suppose you know which plug on the headunit the bluetooth plugged in to, was it the white deep one?
