Strange loose wire in engine bay, what is it?

Has anyone got any idea what this loose wire is for that seems to just be hanging out of the wiring loom?

Its is just above the fuse box (?) on the right hand side of the engine bay.
It is a single blue wire, no other wire joins up to it !

I have attached some photos of the random wire

You wondered about that one as well eh ?
I know early hondas had two ports for honda diag tools.
So I was initially thinking it was something to do with this.
But it also branches at the same point at the fusebox and MAF sensor.
So might have soemthig to do with this.....

...I'll do some digging

You have the same loose wire then Relic ?

To be honest I thought it looked like something a previous owner had done and left it hanging when they sold the car on .....

At least if its on other cars too then I have nothing to worry about !!
