Garage
power folding mirrors

My passenger side (nearside) power folding mirror is not working but it's working fine on the drivers side.

Any ideas what it could be?, is it a DIY job or a main dealer job?

Cheers

I replaced mine, the gearing broke and it wouldnt stop revolving when I hit the return button.

New folding mirror unit cost about £130

Interior trim door panal off, tweeter surround off also

3 bolts holding the mirror on unplug the electrical connector pull out.

There is a how to on how to replace it

It also shows you how to take the glass out and pop your colour coded cover off

O before you decide to do that you could have a look at the fuse box and then maybe have a look and see if the plug behind the door hasnt come loose, 5 minute job to take the interior trim off

has it been damaged at all?......even a slight knock can break the gearing inside the motor. there is allso a new modification that can be carried out which is a hell of a lot cheeper than a new mirror. if under warranty you should be ok. speak to the dealer you normaly use and they should be able to sort you out.

HA!

I spoke to the Honda garage up here and they said if it has been knocked and goes beyond the stop mark it cant be fixed, I asked him if a new mirror is the only option and he told me yes, knowing fine well that I would be walking away without spending a penny with them
