SSD Satnav updates?

Did anyone figure out how to get SSD SatNav updates? All I can find online is that it's Clarion built Honda-only device.... and there was meant to be an update for it in September.

Unhappy

I asked my local Honda parts guy and he got this from Honda UK

"Map updating, via an SD card, has been delayed and as yet we have no new ETA, pricing to be confirmed."

Hope you aren't in a hurry.

It does seem beyond belief that we can get a brand new stand alone unit with up to date full Europe maps and more functionality than the Civic built in unit for less than a Honda map update.

Looks to me like someone (Honda) is taking a shortsighted, profit oriented, view here.
I am hovering between a second hand Civic and another brand at the moment and this sort of thing is swaying me away from Honda. That does not help keep the second hand value buoyant and hence impacts on new sales.

Come on Honda, get real here.
