power inverter

haas any one used something like this



i am going to be traveling up to scotland soon and i was thinking something like this will power my laptop on the way up
keep my 3 year old happy watching dvds
otherwise could be a very long journey

I've got a version (not Silverline mind) that is half the power of that, and it ran my laptop fine. Just don't leave it unattended or use it without the car running, as has already been said. The centre console socket powers down with the ignition off - does anyone know what the accessory socket in the boot does?

what power was yours if you dont mind me asking
its only to power the laptop whilst driveing up to scotland
i did look at in car dvd players but there still silly prices compared to the power inverters
