Radio codes after removing battery

I read that you have to enter your radio codes after removing the battery. Some say you do, some say you don't. So what's the truth?
Where can I find these codes for my stock radio? My car is a type r fn2.
Can't find them in the manual.

Regards

it should be inside your owners manual on a card or printed on a page somewhere in the manual. if you don't have that then it might be on the back of the cd player itself. but i would just call the dealer and give them your VIN number and they should be able to get you that code.

I didn't think the Civic stock radio had a code?

....I thought I read that somewhere anyway....I'm probably just making it up xD

I agree that no radio code is required but if it was then......

In the service book there is a space for the radio code but (mine) is left blank.

Same for all markets?

Code is a bit pointless anyway, as you need to dismantle half the car to get the radio out anyway :P

I'm guessing that is why they don't have one.

Sounds a bit logic, but you never know with the Japanese

I need unlock code for my Honda Civic 2002 UK version.

Radio serial number: 13042391 (U1304 L2391)

VIN: SHHEU77401U024243
Eng.Number: D14Z61130236

I found this site www.radio-navicode.honda.com, but they don't support european models

Thanks in advance.

If the radio codes not in the manual or service book then I think it's going to have to be a trip to the dealers.
